Buffalo Tongue by eyenoticed Buffalo Tongue by eyenoticed
I realize I didn't get this wild Bison's eyes very well but I thought the tongue was cute.

Critiques are very much appreciated!

My family and I visited Medora, North Dakota for a day and a half. Driving through Theodore Roosevelt National Park, we saw wild Bison, horses, elk, prairie dogs, and antelope! It's a photographers dream!

************************************
This Bison's tongue action is similar to some other animals, wild or tame.

Did you shoot this in RAW? If so, go back to the RAW file and see if your can use the Dodge tool to lighten just the area around the eye. If you dont have a Dodge tool in your RAW editor, then lighten the whole photo until you can see the eye, then save it as a .jpg. Then open the .jpg and use your selection tool to select the area around the eye that you want to keep lightened. Then Invert your selection (this changes the selection from the eye area to what is not the eye area). Now use your lighting adjustments to darken or add contrast to the rest of the photo.
